Hello Phuong Hoai Nga, can you introduce a little about yourself?

I have a Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology, working in the field of Educational Psychology for more than 15 years.

I am married and the mother of two children: a sweet guy with all the weirdness inside out, a muse with all the determination inside out.

Why, out of so many professions, did you choose to become a psychologist?

When I intended to take the exam to major in Psychology, my father was both angry and sorry for me choosing a major and didn’t know what to understand.

That was also the first year that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities had a Filière in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology in the Francophone block.

Working in the industry for more than 15 years, I have had the opportunity to look deeply into the souls of children and teenagers, to see that teachers are asked too much and the training process lacks a lot of reality;

The best part of my career is seeing the change, the struggles of individuals in their efforts to become better every day.

When I was myself in those roles, I realized the difficulty of being a parent and teacher.

That’s when I looked at things more openly and more tolerantly.

What do you think about children and the environment in which they are raised?

Children now grow up in a world with rapidly developing technology and an unpredictable future.

The current home or school education environment in Vietnam somewhere shifts from extreme imposition to relaxation, free development and then struggling with principles or values.

Now let’s talk a little about you.

Like every woman, I have to juggle so many roles with limited time and limited energy.

Perhaps blogging, translating and writing books or organizing talk shows about young psychology is your way to share and transmit the positive energy you possess?

As mentioned above, we need to help and support each other rather than finding ways to blame each other, because then, the most disadvantaged people are the ones we protect in the name of: children.

Besides my work, I blog, translate and write books, and lead seminars on parenting or child psychology with the desire to share with parents about the times I saw that flash of light, to
