Recently, the official Instagram page of the brand Celine (formerly Céline) unveiled the new logo image designed by Creative Director Hedi Slimane.

The caption goes on to explain that the spacing between the letters has been adjusted so they are closer together.

This change by Hedi Slimane reminds people of the way he shortened the name of the Yves Saint Laurent brand to Saint Laurent in 2012.
The word Paris will still be placed under the Celine brand logo when printed on clothes and packaging, but will not appear in advertising campaigns.
This logo change can be seen as a sign of further innovations since Hedi Slimane replaced former Creative Director Phoebe Philo, who worked for nearly 10 years and brought great success to the fashion house.

Lady Gaga is the first person to own Hedi Slimane’s debut design for Celine.
